What is liquid soil?

Liquid soil belongs to the ZFSV group (temporarily flowable, self-compacting backfill materials) and is a construction material consisting of soil mixed with binders, additives, and water; it is used primarily for backfilling in areas that are difficult to access or compact. As a construction material, liquid soil flows with virtually no additional compaction energy and completely fills voids and gaps. As a backfill material, liquid soil offers numerous advantages over conventional layer-by-layer backfilling, hydraulically bound water suspensions, or concrete: Liquid soil is highly versatile due to the ability to precisely adjust the required soil mechanical properties (e.g., easy excavability, high load-bearing capacity under foundations, etc.). User-specific formulation properties such as thermal conductivity, water impermeability, or pollutant binding offer endless application possibilities.

Complete flexibility

  • Precise control of specific final properties of the liquid soil
  • Mobile or stationary production
  • Nationwide availability
  • No need to use truck mixers for production
Icons-9

Increased efficiency

  • Unmatched performance of up to 100m³/h
  • Lower personnel and technical costs
  • Narrow trench width and optimized route planning
  • Shorter construction time
Icons-7

Reduced costs

  • No charge for excavation waste disposal
  • No need for time-consuming removal from the construction site
  • Elimination of compaction work
  • Reduced trench and right-of-way cross-sections
  • Shrinkage-free installation, thereby preventing damage to the pipeline and traffic routes
Icons-5

Highest quality

  • Custom formulation
  • Goods monitoring through internal and external monitoring
  • Preservation of soil-like structures (the backfill remains loose enough to be dug up with a spade even years later)
  • Simple, continuous, vibration-free, and self-compacting backfilling
  • Extended service life of the entire system comprising the roadway, pavement, and piping
  • Lower maintenance costs
Icons-8

Reduced risks

  • Selected pipe manufacturers' acceptance of the disclaimer of liability
  • Shrinkage-free installation, thereby preventing damage to pipelines and traffic routes
  • BQF Seal of Quality
Icons-6

Environmentally friendly

  • Less noise pollution
  • Fewer traffic disruptions thanks to compact construction sites and short construction periods
  • Environmental and ecological reuse of excavated material
  • Significant reduction inCO2emissions

Our mixing plant options

Our proprietary mixing plant technology is based on a mobile machine configuration that can be flexibly adapted to any construction site situation, ensuring optimized site layout throughout Germany and Europe. In accordance with operational requirements, we set up and operate every construction site with economic and environmental considerations in mind. Digitalized monitoring processes support the efficient operation of our plants. Depending on the specific requirements of the construction site (nature conservation regulations to be observed, geological conditions of the site, project-specific handling of hazardous substances in the soil, etc.), we provide either electric- or diesel-powered plant technology.
